I was cautiously optimistic about my recent
survey.
Would people fill it out? Would the responses be helpful?
I’m thrilled to say yes to both.
Here are some insights I’d like to share with you:
- Concerns over weight are actually a reflection of not being able to live the life you intended for yourself
- Excess weight is difficult to manage on a day-to-day basis
- You want the choices that come with body confidence
- Many of you feel shame over weight gain (I hope to help you release that, it’s unnecessary and a roadblock to enduring weight loss)
A few of you let me know that the sentence “Your weight is a natural by-product of how you construct your life” felt too simplistic.
My answer is that it’s a simple sentence but in actual practice, quite complicated. That’s the roadblock/rub/pain point. That’s why there’s
10 principles covering the gamut. It’s intended as a starting point to more comprehensive thinking.
In other words, your body is not a problem to solve.
Sadly, many of you are not yet convinced that dieting doesn’t work (I’ll keep trying). The failure rate is above 90%. I think the reason that this belief is so stubborn is that there are very few comprehensive alternatives.
You need better tools than packaged diets and workouts.
I lost the weight without dieting. I still don’t diet. I eat healthfully and move joyfully. The whole of my life is built to support that intention. My 9-week coaching program is going to teach that step by step.
As always, thank you for reading and if you haven’t filled out the
survey, please do. I read every single one.
