Hey!
It’s good to have you here in this space.
I’m your partner in your journey to write and read better.
Let’s walk.
What’s your current read by the way?
I’ll tell you about mine next week.
I was reading a lot about creativity and productivity and I thought to share some lessons with you.
I don’t know about you but most of the time, until recently I thought creativity was something that just happens to you.
I likened creativity to inspiration.
I likened it to a flash of revelation.
I likened it to something that meets you even when you were not expecting it.
I was wrong.
Now, I’m not saying that creativity is hardly any of those things I mentioned above.
I’m saying it only makes up 10%.
The rest of it has to do with intention and a plan.
Creativity is work.
Creativity shows up in deliberate note taking.
Schedules.
Routines.
Plan.
Goals.
A writer who waits for inspiration before writing will hardly write.
Creativity doesn’t happen by chance.
Creativity does not often strike you like a thunderbolt.
You decide to be creative.
By reading. Observing. And walking with a realistic plan.
What will be you do to be creative?
I’ll hear from you next week!
