We wanted to say thank you and wish you all a new year full of health, companionship and opportunities. We have worked throughout 2021 with just under 300 organisations across the UK and have learned of the incredible strength, dedication and sheer stubbornness to do the best work to support those we work with. This is what makes our team tick, feel inspired and enables us to co-produce the work that we develop to strengthen and bring the refugee and migration sector together at this very difficult time.
You have told us during the year how important it is to feel supported and support your teams and those you work for.
You have spoken of the challenges to adapt, reinvent and deliver in a very hostile and fragile environment with constant change. You have raised your voice to share your experiences, come together and oppose the Anti-Refugee Bill. We listen to what you tell us through our different programmes, the Insight Hub and what we hear from other stakeholders in the sector and beyond. We could not be prouder of working alongside such wonderful organisations and partners and we hope to continue to learn and grow from sharing this journey together.
We would really want 2022 to be an easier year for all, but we do also believe that we can play an important part in making that happen. Your tenacity and work has shown us how it’s done, and the work that we did with our Respond and Adapt Partners throughout 2021 on wellbeing and collective care in the sector is a great example of this.
To remind us and to set us on the ‘collective wellbeing’ path, we want to share our last publication of the year on ‘Collective Care’. It’s a great place to look, and find ways of starting the year as we mean to go on - making sure that we make time to pause and reflect together, continually learning as we go.
With our very best wishes for 2022, thank you again and see you on the other side!
