Hey urbanists!
California’s SB 827 housing bill is dead, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I’m intrigued by how the left is pushing its way into the YIMBY vs NIMBY narrative and presenting radically different housing plans.
There are also some good articles on the companies leading on data collection in the self-driving vehicle race (which I’m honestly not sure I agree with) and how China is slashing the cost of electric buses, just as it previously did with solar panels.
And make sure to check out the graph at the end of this issue showing the staggering rise in NYC subway construction costs.
