Hey urbanists!
I have a very transit-focused issue for you this week. Firstly, some articles on the issues that transit faces in the United States with ridership, maintenance backlogs, and having to respond to new technologies.
Then, we look at Uber’s vision for the future of its app — think transportation platform, not ride-hailing intermediary — as well as articles on Didi and Waymo.
Finally, this issue closes with a fascinating piece on how Paris might make transit free — it would be the largest city to do so — and a list of other great reads you might like — my latest on Elon Musk is among them.
Have a great Sunday!
