Bet The Beat
Terry McLaurin Over 57.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Game: Washington Commanders at Detroit Lions | 1 p.m. ET.
McLaurin found success in somewhat of a limited role for Washington in Week 1. He recorded two receptions for 58 yards and 1 touchdown on only three targets. With that being said, he ran a team-high 42 routes.
The key to this bet is the matchup. The Detroit Lions feature two terrible outside cornerbacks. Jeff Okudah and Amani Oruwariye were expected to struggle this season, and they failed to slow down AJ Brown in Week 1.
Granted, McLaurin and Brown aren’t similar types of receivers, but I don’t believe that will matter. McLaurin is a high-end receiver in the NFL, and he’s consistently proven it.
Washington would be wise to get him more looks, as they should be attacking the outside corners in the game. If that’s the case, McLaurin should easily pass this total.
Where to bet: Terry McLaurin Over 57.5 receiving yards | -115 at BetMGM
