Every busy UX writer can save time reading this.

Hi there, 👋🏼👋🏼

I know, I know … I’m one week early. 🤷‍♂️
But I’ve got some news to share with you (skip to “Out now: First UX writing program in Swedish” below if you’re really busy).

👦 My son Elis is just about to turn 5. Every day, he teaches me tons about life and love. And without knowing it, he has taught me 3 super-important things about writing UX:

  1. Use words that people get easily (choose the easiest word, and skip the jargon and corporate bullshit).
  2. Tell me what to do (instead of what not to do). You’re the guide.
  3. Feel the feeling in me (and meet me in that feeling).

That’s it.

Out now: the first UX Writing program in Swedish 🔥
After 4 sold-out educational talks for 500 people, I’m delighted to present the next stage:
🥁🥁🥁

“UX-writing på svenska 2020” (UX Writing in Swedish 2020) is the first online education program in Swedish.
It’s a 6-week program for the chosen few who want fuel for their journey towards the best words for apps and websites. Along the way, you’ll get feedback and coaching from me. Sounds good? Great.

🔥 Registration starts today. And if you snooze, you lose. The program starts on January 9, 2020.

What’s that? Swedish is all Greek to you? Then I warmly recommend the international courses from UX Writers Collective, and the course at UX Writing Hub (I’ve done both of them, and I’m a happy-clapping believer x2).
This is me
Thank you for reading.
I’m Mattias, a freelance UX writer and copywriter based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

To feel happy, you need 3 things. I think it was Rita Mae Brown who said that. You need someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to.
I love my wife Evelina; we’ve been a couple for 17 years (!!), and have two kids together (most of the time they are as happy as hippos). 💕
I work with the things I enjoy the most: thinking, writing and creating. 💭
And I look forward to our long family trip to La Cala de Mijas in Spain at the beginning of next year; we’ll enjoy a “workation” with lots of ice cream, playgrounds and strolling along the beach. 🏖️🍹

How about you? Who do you love, what’s your “something to do”, and what do you look forward to? Think about it.
If you want to share your answers with me, I’d be extra happy, since I want to get to know you better (now that you know me). You’ll reach me at mattias@pleasecopyme.se

That’s all. See you next Tuesday!
Hi from Mattias, the 🇸🇪UX writer

📘 PS. I’ve written an e-book on UX writing. It will be out on December 2 this year. First in Swedish, and maybe (if you tell me: “What a great idea!”) in English later on. Here are some of the great UX writing people mentioned in the e-book: Elaine Short, Andrea Drugay, Gordon Macrae, Jennie Tan, John Saito, Kinneret Yifrah, Mario Ferrer, Sophie Tahran and Yuval Keshtcher.
Next!
The next issue will be out on November 26, 2019
