The Army Applications Lab has a new funding opportunity for startups.
The SPARTN Fire Faster challenge from the Army Applications Lab aims to improve the canon reloading process for the Army’s Self Propelled Howitzer Systems (SPHS). The highly manual process involves lifting heavy components, in tight quarters, very quickly. We’re looking for technology pieces that can help improve this overall process - think robotic arms, exoskeletons, inventory management systems, computer vision and digital twin type technologies.
The SPARTN program combines non-dilutive R&D funds (15 companies x $200k/each) with a cohort program that provides access to end users (Soldiers) and Army acquisition teams to guide startups in building the right product and to sell to the Army long-term. To learn more and see the reloading process in action visit AAL.army/SPARTN/. Deadline to apply is October 8th.
