What's going on with AI???

Glue's Letter
Hey Friends
This week has been pretty interesting, I got contacted by a BIG client I’m going to work with, more on that soon but for now, ya know… NDAs. Other than that I’ve just been trying to stay consistent in many parts of my life without completely burning out. Also gonna shoutout my Pinterest one more time;) Trying to get to 250 followers.

AI is pretty wild, I’m not sure how I feel about it quite yet. I made a video creating some cool artwork and using in a poster which was fun, you can watch that HERE. Other than that though haven’t explored too many uses in my design work.
My thing is I feel like there’s 3 types of people right now and there relationship with ai artwork,
  1. All into it and thinks it’s going to change the world and is using it in all there art and design stuff I’ve seen online.
  2. Thinks artists are completely doomed and is very nervous about the future, job security, being paid as a creative etc.
  3. lastly the person who still has no idea what’s going on and hasn’t even heard of Dall-e or Midjourney
I think i live somewhere between 1 and 3. I’m excited to use AI as another asset in my design tool box. I kind of look at it like an infinite stock image resource that you can really cater to random obscure needs. However I still really don’t know what I’m doing with it too much and realized the specificness of typing in the prompts is an art within myself.
What do you all think about it?
Print Store Hiatus
Over the past year or so I have loved having the print store and getting to share some of my physical work with you all. however these days it is starting to become a hassle and idk if i wanna keep fulfilling a few orders every week.
Whenever I get deep into anything in life especially creative endeavors I always need to take a step back and ask myself
“Do I still enjoy doing this?”
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in things we initially just did for fun or a side hustle and it becomes more about keeping up with this feeling that you HAVE to be doing it. That is simply not true, I’m trying to remind myself more and more I can do whatever the fuck I want truly.
With that being said thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the people who have ordered prints in the past and shared cool photos of them in your home. For the time being the print store is closed.
If you want to support your boy though, you can always sign up for my Patreon and get access to a bunch of cool bonus stuff, exclusive merch, source files, print files, and more. It helps out and adds a little more stability into this crazy freelance designer content creator adjacent life lol.
Burning Out... I think
I’ve been feeling a little weird ever since I got back from vacation. I don’t think I’m working any harder than I was before but I think I was inna slow consistent burnout grind before the tip and the vacation gave me some clarity. I’m currently in the process of trying to adjust and figure out a healthy balance that works for me. It can get pretty crazy trying to juggle all the shit I’m doing and sometimes IDK how I even do it.
I’m working on finding more leisure activities too so I give myself time to recharge and feel excited about work again each week. Still trying to get my hands on a PS5 which seems impossible at retail price, watching some fun shows at night with my partner Erika, and been playing pool at the bar each week which has become a fun little ritual.
Not sure where I’m really going with this section but take care and brush ya hair.
Stuff I currently like and stuff I’m looking forward to!
Closing Thoughts
You’d worry less about what people think, if you realized how little they do.
Much Love, Glue.
