Newsletter - Issue #4 - Farewell to Hong Kong

Pablo Robles
Pablo Robles
Hey there! Welcome to the fourth issue of my newsletter.
This edition is very special and bittersweet to me because it’s my last newsletter written from my small flat in Hong Kong, after more than four years of living here. The next one will be hopefully sent from Costa Rica, my home country, where I’ll spend the coming festive season. I’m excited to visit family and friends after nearly three years of not seeing them.
But for now, let’s jump right into this month’s content!

  • All NACIS talks are available online. Now you can watch mine 🙈!
  • My virtual talk for Data Visualization Zürich about maps and graphics is coming on December 10th (16:00 CET).
  • Last but not least, I’ll be joining The New York Times in January 2022 as a Visual Editor and as part of their International team in Seoul, South Korea. I’m really excited to start working with and learning from the best in the industry. This was my dream job back when I started doing graphics in 2014, so I feel really grateful for this opportunity!
