Hey all! What a week it was.
While Sam was skiing and prepping his schedule for SXSW, Maarten ‘came out’ about his new job: Global Head of Voice at Nodes, a European digital product agency with a great track record in enterprise web and mobile application development. A great match, as no impressive Voice services can be built with out a strong backend. All Conva Voice Services activities continue under the new Dutch Nodes office led by Naos Wilbrink.
From the Office of podcasts (including a global first!)
This afternoon (Monday, March 4th) the latest Voice Cast will be available on the web, Spotify and iTunes. Special guests were Daan Gönning and Finbar Hage of Rabobank.
Did you know that the Rabobank Google Action is a world first? No bank anywhere in the world has balance information accessible on Voice. Also we have a preview of their payment request addition (aka Tikkie), also a global first! Go listen after 4:30 pm and subscribe.
From the Office of Events
In case you missed it, here are the slides and podcasts of the 5th Open Voice event which was hosted at the new Epicenter innovation house. The theme was Integrated Voice. Soon most devices from vacuums, to cars and TV will have a Voice interface. Even better, in 5 years you will talk more with devices than your partner. Well, that’s what Maarten thinks as he said in his State of Voice: deck and audio.
The event was kicked off by Guido Jongen of Nuance, the first Voice platform (helped create the first Siri) and service provider (deck and audio).
We also had Roderick de Rode, CEO at Spinn the connected coffee machine which self orders new coffee from an online e-commerce platform and is Voice driven (deck and audio).
Last we had Eric Bezzam of Snips, the open-source private design Voice platform (deck and audio).
It was a great event again with a good turn up, a slick venue and an awesome team! Thanks Hayo, Marna, Daan plus us two, Sam and Maarten.
🎁 Epicenter offers anyone a free month of work at their impressive building. Use VOICE as password on the form.
The next Open Voice is planned for April 16th. The theme is Health and care. Got any cool cases or tips? Let us know by replying.
Now on to the Office of links and inspiration!

That’s it for this week. We’ll be back next week with more Voice news.
Cheers!

PS.
Sam: next week I’ll be at SXSW. I’m testing how I can use WhatsApp to report on the event through personalised updates. I’d be happy to have you as a part of the experiment. Sign up if you’re up for some fun too.
Did you enjoy this issue?
