Hi there!
This past week we were pondering:
When one compares Voice to the mobile phone market development steps; is it at the WAP stage or at the Blackberry & Nokia stage?
WAP was the earliest form of internet use on a mobile phone. Afterwards more integrated connected services & apps became possible resulting in the larger Nokia and Blackberry platforms.
For now we think it’s between the two. The ability to create voice services available for all is like the WAP stage. Yet the resources Google, Amazon and Samsung are pouring in make it look like the Blackberry & Nokia stage. What is lacking is a user base of over 100 mln and a clear use case for the brands and developers working with these platforms. Those 100 mln will be reached next year. But the use case? We’ll report it here first!
