Last week I hosted the Savant eCommerce event. A two-day gig where major brands like Ikea, Adidas, Google, and others share insights and learnings on their e-commerce efforts. It’s so good to be back on stage and also it is a great way for me to stay in touch with the core value chain.
A key takeaway for me was that so much is still done via email, web and app. Almost all eco0mmerce conversations happen through these traditional channels. And all orgs involved still have so much to do to optimize their e-commerce. It remains a ‘change’ game where going digital - from bricks to clicks- remains the main theme. For many conversational AI is not on their roadmap. Yet. I say this humbly. We, the industry, need to earn our we in. How much money are you saving or making with conversational AI? That is the ticket. Clear gains.
