A frozen dessert that tastes like you’re eating a real fruit, does it truly exist? You probably should try an assortment of gelato and sorbet flavors at Il Laboratorio Del Gelato to decide for yourself. It’s a step up from the classic Amorino.
Located next to the famed Katz’s Delicatessen, it doesn’t look like an ice cream shop at first glance. Instead, you will notice an immaculate white retail shop, designed like a lab with an expansive window. That’s the place where the frozen desserts are handmade.
Since 2002, Il Laboratorio Del Gelato uses natural and real products, sourced locally and organically as possible to create their palette of fine flavors (over 300 as of today but only 48 flavors are showcased randomly and depending on the season).
You will surely find something to please every palate: lemon basil, yuzu, tangerine, pomegranate, papaya, avocado, fig, licorice, green tea, red bean, mocha, salted caramel, pistachio, dark chocolate and many more. Always a perfect treat during summer!
