Eat, at Ngam.
Ngam is a modern Thai restaurant located in East Village, founded in 2011 and owned by Chef Hong Thaimee.
The restaurant works with local farmers to offer fresh and delightful food from Thailand like fresh papaya salad*, red and green curry with sticky rice, grilled chicken with tamarind chili sauce. It’s my favorite place when I’m craving an authentic Pad Thai*. The balance between the different flavors are savory and subtle, yet not too spicy. Some selected plates are gluten-free*.
Unexpected yet creative plates are also on the menu like a Thai-style hamburger, lime panna cotta and brioche waffles with chicken wings and spicy marmalade for brunch.
Prices at Ngam are pretty reasonable, and during rush hour, the place can be crowded and noisy but their modern and sophisticated dishes are worth it.
