○ Barcelona-based Psious, a VR startup that’s working on a platform for the treatment of mental health disorders, raised €8 million in a funding round co-led by Sabadell Asabys and Caixa Capital
○ Barcelona-based vacation rental software provider Rentals United raised €3.8 million from Stella EOC Capital and Howzat Partners
○ Barcelona-based pricing intelligence startup Kompyte raised €2.7 million from Adara Ventures, Caixa Capital Risc and Swanlaab
○ Granada-based company Icired raised €2.4 million from Informa D&B and everis. Icired provides financial data on companies fraud levels
○ Barcelona-based Hubtype raised $1.1 million to help developers build richer chat support. The round was led by K Fund
○ Madrid-based Guesser, a startup that provides a platform to invest in the outcome of real world events using cryptocurrency, raised $1.1 million from US funds Version One, Compound and Boost VC
○ Madrid-based fashion brand Muroexe raised €1 million in funding and is now looking to complement the round with €200,000 in equity crowdfunding
○ Barcelona-bsed Market research startup Zinklar (Snappy) raised €1 million from Caixa Capital Risc, Inveready and Sabadell Venture Capital

○ EFE Emprende profiled real estate crowdfunding platform Brickbro. The company claims to have more than 2,000 investors in its platform and €1 million in sales in the first 6 months of the yeart
○ Transportation startup Joinup to become the first service to offer a fix price for taxi rides. Consumers will get to know how much they’re going to pay before starting the trip, regardless of the duration of the service
○ US edtech startup Khan Academy awarded the Premio Princesa de Asturias de Cooperación Internacional 2019

○ Telco MasMovil raised €100 million from two banks. MasMovil is also planning to sell its fibre infrastructure to an international fund for €217 million
○ Travel giant Amadeus posted €334 million in profit in the first quarter of the year, +9.5% compared to the year ago quarter
○ Just Eat to build its own delivery fleet in Spain. Patrik Bergareche, the company’s country manager in Spain, was interviewed on Expansion to talk about it

○ Madrid’s city council passed legislation affecting VTC services such as Cabify and Uber. Cars from either company can only be on the road for 16 hours a day, 5 days a week, and won’t be able to stop closer than 100 meters of train stations, bus stations and such
