NightSchool.ie Orientation Week

Get ready. We have Orientation for all students on one of the nights over the week of the 20th of September so you’ll be ready for logging in and to access your resources in good time before the following week when classes start. We will be contacting all fully registered students on the Weekend of the 18th and 19th.

We recommend that you join on the night of your usual class but you can join any night you are best available. It is mandatory for all new online students. If you’re scheduled for a number of classes then you only need to attend Orientation on one night. If you’ve been with us before online it may not be essential for you, but you’re still welcome to join us.

We’ve scheduled an hour, but it will be 30 minutes of a presentation and 30 minutes allocated to addressing your own questions and issues. Importantly it is the opportunity for you to sort out your audio and video in time before your class. As with all classes please ensure that you join in good time before the start time. You will be able to test your connection and log in as soon as you get your college email ID.

Make sure you are at a laptop or PC, as with all classes, and if possible have your webcam working (you can decide when to turn it on or off), and ideally have a set of headphones with a microphone for our privacy and for the best sound: the ones for your mobile phone will work if they have a microphone. You will set your microphone to mute for the start of the Orientation class.
