Best of luck everyone who is starting their online exams tonight and this week. You'll be great. Prepare.
Early Application Deadlines
SNA Level 5 & 6 Classes
Level 5 Tuesday night classes are now full. We’ve added an extra Thursday night class. Places are filling fast.
For Level 6 SNA we’ve added an extra Tuesday and Wednesday night class.
Student Profile: @theirishbargain
If you haven’t come across @theirishbargain on Instagram yet it is certainly worth a follow - most especially since we’re proud to say that Sheila is one of our loyal students - with nearly 27 thousand followers on Instagram for her expert shopping, tax, and finance advice.
Sheila is a qualified accountant. But 5 years ago she made the bold decision to give up her job and go out on her own online while prioritising looking after her first son who was diagnosed as autistic.
Two years in, I needed to exercise my brain and I signed up for my first course at, Level 5 Special Needs Assisting and 3 years later I’m still here, completing other modules online. Their tutors are fantastic and the support from the college is amazing especially the study skills sessions and academic writing slides this year!
We love that we can be a part of how people forge their own lives for themselves. No limits. No cookie-cutter patterns. Just you decide when and how you want to learn.
27 thousand followers on Instagram is no mean feat. We’re in envy.
Grants & PUP
You’re not alone when it comes to working out how to afford upskilling and qualifications. We’re the experts at it at this stage and we can guide you through your options.
We’ve 30% off for Social Welfare recipients and OAPs and 40% off for current and just graduated Mallow College of Further Education day students.
If you are in receipt of a Social Welfare payment or Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP), you may be eligible for a grant of up to €1,000 per year to pay for your online night class at
A maximum amount of €1,000 per annum may be made available within a 12 month period for each jobseeker, where appropriate. This is the overall total for each jobseeker, regardless of the number of courses sought/required.
Probably unique amongst Night School providers, we’ve been dedicated to supporting 100s of students through the process. Full details at
Who's the daddy?
Ya, who is Ireland’s biggest night school? We’ve looked at the figures for QQI awards for 2020.
In QQI Level 5 & 6 awards, of ETB schools, for 2020, LCFE comes out top at 1,287 minor awards, follows with 824, and CCoC following on with 676.
But, it’s all change for 2021: is not only the only college to keep running at full capacity, but also to grow and to move fully online and nationwide; and now also to begin a new third semester of with applications already at twice last term’s levels.
So, we’re calling it. For 2021: we’re the daddy!
