On Tuesday morning (February 8th), I will release my first “real” episode.
And it’s an absolute treasure trove of information.
I’ll have Matt Studdert (founder of Frontend Mentor) talking about community and how it helped him grow to 300,000 users in just 4 years.
To make that growth even more impressive - he did this with only himself and his buddy Mike full-time.
Next week’s issue, I will talk about the power of community and how it can help your business, but I don’t want to spoil anything until then…
If you are interested, you can subscribe or follow the podcast with one of the links below.
If you liked it, please leave a review because it appeases the algorithm gods in my favour.
There won’t be a consistent format for the first few months on the podcast as I try different things to see what helps people the most.
I have some fantastic interviews lined up already, so that’s one thing you will get. 😜
How to Submit a Podcast
I was expecting the whole setup and distribution of Podcasts across the web to be a nightmare, so I wanted to share my experience.
I added a small trailer to all of the Podcasting platforms I could think of to ensure there were no blockers before the first real episode landed.
The process was super easy thanks to Justin Jackson‘s great app called Transistor.fm.
The app automates submissions to pretty much all of the popular Podcast platforms (except Apple, because you know they always like to control things themselves).
Once they are all submitted, I get analytics back to a central dashboard in Transistor.fm, which makes it a lot more convenient than a spreadsheet and checking each platform. 😂
There is a free alternative called Anchor.fm, but I didn’t opt for them after reading this (definitely not biased) article on the Transistor.fm blog.
If I missed one of your favourite platforms, let me know by replying to this email and submitting it.

Every child is trained by their parents for a world that is one generation out of date.
I’ve spent an hour and a half now trying to explain “sunk cost fallacy” to my son. He’s no nearer understanding it than when we started, and it’s giving me a serious headache. But if I quit now I’ll have had all this for nothing!
That’s all for this week, stay safe, and I’ll chat to you next week, my beautiful friends! 👋
