Networking Online - Online Communities to Join

“The person who says he knows what he thinks but cannot express it usually does not know what he thinks.” — Mortimer J. Adler

This week I got out to two REAL-WORLD EVENTS!
It was amazing to network in person and meet people.
On Wednesday, I went to The Dublin Startup Meetup. The highlight, I think, for everyone was meeting the incredible Anton Krasun, who has started three different projects (while still working a full-time job) to help out with the Ukrainian crisis.
He has helped place hundreds of families across Ireland already and is making a huge impact.
Check out his Twitter to stay up to date with his relentless work to help out his fellow Ukrainians.
I also made it to Talent Summit and got to see some great speakers and meet some people that I’ve only spoken to on Zoom or Slack.
The body is tired this weekend from all the fun and the couple of fizzy drinks that were had.
Online Communities
I love networking in person but,
Covid has taught me to network globally via Slack Communities and Forums.
My network was very much an Irish one before Covid, but from being active in online communities, I have friends all across the globe (and more locally than I could have had by waiting to meet physically).
Here are some of my favourite ones you should try joining to expand your network and learn from new people.

If you are in Ireland 🇮🇪
I will be putting together my Startup community later this year since I love community and connecting people. ❤️
If you want even more communities, let me know, and I will put together a directory for you.
Or, if you know any communities I should join, send me an email.

RIP to the legendary Taylor Hawkins
Foo Fighters have been a favourite band of mine since I was a kid and are one of the main reasons I learned the guitar and played in a band growing up.
To quote the mighty Foo, I can only say “there goes my hero”.
