This is water

Hey friends,
By now, you know that this newsletter that I try to send out weekly is usually me trying to rehash advice and exciting stuff that I come across in life and sometimes on the internet. I quite enjoy writing it since it makes me reflect on advice that I would render as cliche or run-of-the-mill. This week I came across a story by David Wollace that further reinforced this notion of not discarding cliche advice as well as appreciating the little privilege that life affords us.
There are these two young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, “Morning, boys. How’s the water?” And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, “What the hell is water?”
I hope you sit down this week and ask yourself, “What the hell is water?”
Have a great week ahead!
Ngoiri.

Interesting Stuff This Week
Book- I am rereading The Courage to be Disliked by Fumitake Koga and  Ichmi Koshini that I quite think everyone should read. The book is based on Adlerian’s psychology that happiness dwells in each person and not personal traumas. In a classic Socratic dialogue fashion between a young man and a philosopher, authors manage to make a clear emphasis that happiness is really a choice .
Article-Tim Urban in a trouble-free and amusing  way helps us understand Corona-virus.

Notes to Keep
The courage to be happy also includes the courage to be disliked. When you have gained that courage, your interpersonal relationships will all at once change into things of lightness.
