New Friends in Denver

September 15 · Issue #1 · View online
Weekly newsletter with personal, hand-picked restaurants and activities by a NYC transplant who is always on the hunt for what to eat and do next.

Hello new friends!
This newsletter was inspired by my time living in Los Angeles, San Francisco and most recently New York City. My weekends were packed with activities and new restaurants because I was subscribed to every city-based digest I could find.
Over the last few years I’ve become the ‘go-to’ person for recommendations because I spend WAY too much time researching what to do and eat every weekend.
So if you’re like me and love to try new things, meet new people, and eat new foods…then stay tuned for my recommendations, and forward this to a friend who might be hungry!

10 Restaurants If You're Missing NYC
Criteria: Cool vibe but not overly “trendy”, decor that’s Instagram-worthy (admit you think about that too!), and delicious eclectic cuisine, usually in a small-plate format. Bonus points if there are ridiculous wait times.
  1. El Five - Amazing rooftop
  2. Hop Alley - Bougie Chinese food, but I appreciate it.
  3. Bar Dough - Mountain Man pizza
  4. Populist - Tasting menu
  5. Rosenberg’s Bagels - They even claim to use NYC-style water to make their bagels!
  6. ChoLon - For fans of Buddakan
  7. Jax Fish House - East Coast oyster happy hour for $1.50/ea
  8. Black Eye - Beautiful decor inspired by the roaring 20’s
  9. Green Russell - Speakeasy cocktails without the NYC $20 price tag
  10. Uncle - You’d think the line was fast if you’ve waited for Ippudo before

Tip of the Week
Thanks for making it all the way to the bottom! I’m reserving this area for sharing random places I find. For this week…
Not sure who thought booze + axe throwing was a good idea, but it sure is a good time! They have all the gear there, so no need to bring your own ax :) If you’re going in a small group, check their walk-in schedule for specific times that’s open to the public. Friendly instructors and a really cool experience! (Also makes for creative Boomerang videos)
