A dozen links every two weeks for newcomers to web development

I’m posting some path-less-taken links this week with Bulma, Vue, and WTFJS. Bulma is a flexbox based CSS framework that is lighter than Bootstrap and more handsome in my opinion.
Vue is actually as old as React but has a bit of an underdog status. However huge companies in England and China (Alibaba, Weibo) use it and it’s very easy to learn.
If you know of a beginner level Javascript Slack, Gitter, or Discord community, post the the subscribe link there: https://www.getrevue.co/profile/n00b_news. Let’s see how fast we can get to 1,000 subscribers.
Thanks for reading and you can reply to this email to let me know if you have a good link for next week’s issue.

Job Prep
This is a permanent section that will be in every issue, with at least one link to help you in your job search or interviews.
A tip I have is with using Indeed. Don’t just search for “web developer” since that might leave out “full stack developer”, “front end engineer”, and “React webdev Rockstar”. Searching for the word “Javascript”, or any other technology you want to use (PHP, Ruby, .NET, etc) will get you far more relevant posts than searching by the name of the position.
