Tuesday TEA Time
Last week we took a quick weekend trip to Edinburgh and it was really nice to get away and see another place nearby. Although we were only there for a couple days, Scotland seemed like a super nice place. The rural areas really reminded me of where I grew up and it is always nice to be somewhere where one can see both water and mountains.
We took a train over to Glasgow for half a day. Glasgow seems like a really creative place. I found a new (to me) store named Forty that I really liked. Harry said he’d be in Berlin for SEEK so I’m going to try to visit and maybe get a custom jacket made or something; he said they’d be doing some just-in-time clothing designs.
I got some new shoes and I’ll write more about that below. I am “getting into sneakers” (or trainers in the UK) and it’s spiraling out of control. Down in the E section I’ll put some links to some shoes I got, some I want, and to a great commercial by Le Coq Sportif.
And finally, below is a photo from Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

How $1 flows from Spotify to recording artists
12:02 AM - 2 Apr 2018
Spotify is listing on the public stock market today. Above is a good analysis of where the money flows. Spotify is unique in that they are not issuing new stock to sell publicly, but instead just allowing all current share holders to sell starting today. A company normally uses their listing event to raise new capital, but Spotify is not. We’ll see how it goes.
The Curiosity Rover just spent its 2,000th day on Mars!
So I got some new shoes…

I also really like these by Le Coq Sportif. (Wikipedia link)

Le Coq made this super amazing commercial a few years ago and it makes me want to dress like the people in it. It just looks so 80s. I love it.
I am also very much in love with these Diadora S8000 Neorone’s. They are gorgeous. (In collaboration with The Good Will Out.)
The design of the S8000 Nerone uses various shades of red inspired by the myth that Nero sent out partisan to set the city Rome on fire, while he played his lyre and sang from a private stage.

And, lastly about shoes, these photos from a Steve Harrington event are super interesting. I love the colorful designs resting on the white sneakers. Check them out.
I adore the photos series by Leonid Tishkov named Private Moon.
“Private Moon” is a visual poem telling the story of a man who met the Moon and stayed with her for the rest of his life…
That’s it for this week. I hope you found something interesting.
