Thought of the Week
Let’s take a walk through January 2022! With all the funding pumped into NoCode companies in December ‘21, it made for an exciting January. But then the markets seem to have spooked VCs (hopefully for not too long) and fewer companies raised money in January. I’ll have the monthly funding roundup in next week’s issue.
The investing roller-coaster hasn’t stopped NoCode makers though! Judging by an arbitrary metric - ProductHunt performance, we are doing fine! I present my case in two parts:
Part 1:
Appmaker came in at #2 on Product Hunt on January 2, 2022 for it’s ability to turn Shopify stores into mobile apps! Don’t see how long Shopify can hold off buying them or building similar native capabilities.
Part 2:
Just yesterday, Hagrid (cool logo) came in at #1 on Product Hunt for it’s ability to generate FAQs from user input!
This week, I shared some observations about the importance of consistently showing up by tracking the story of Coinbase founder Brian Armstrong. On the interview pod, I spoke with 3 guests from The.Com!!
What a January it has been for the pod @mynocodestory!
