CreativeOwl Q&A with Killer Cat Bengal Club
CreativeOwl: What makes your project different than others?
Killer Cat Bengal Club: Aside from the quirkiness of my bengal cats, I would say two things: To begin with, the roadmap is very different from most projects previously seen on the Polygon blockchain. I wanted to offer luxury to the Polygon community as well as create a project that gives back. I designed the roadmap to compete with some of the larger projects that offered big prizes and utilities on the Ethereum blockchain, but without limiting access to only those who are able to pay, and possibly lose, hundred of dollars in gas fees during a gas war. Additionally, I wanted inclusivity to be a theme in my project as well. Everyone should have an opportunity at luxury and I wanted to make sure to give back with opportunities to win tons of prizes in crypto and other luxury items, like a Tesla. I’ve made sure that my project is inclusive & diverse from day one, realizing that for example a $10,000 prize could be completely life changing for some, including many people from different countries. When selecting a charity to give to, I made sure to chose a non-profit which benefits many different types of people in need. I could not be more proud of what our community has grown into, with worldwide support and members. When I think about what makes us different, I think of diversity because that means we celebrate our differences and include everyone.
CreativeOwl: How did you decide on the color theme and cats?
Killer Cat Bengal Club: I created my collection completely based on my Bengal kitten Honey! She is quirky, hilarious & loves to play fetch. She thinks she is a killer bringing me “hunted” items for me to throw. Honey has brought me so much joy with her funny uplifting energy. This is precisely what I wanted to portray through my collection. I chose vibrant colors to portray her vibrancy but also wanted to incorporate and anticipate fashion trends in Miami & in the fashion industry as a whole, with colors one would find on Versace, Balenciaga, and Prada models on the runway at Fashion Week such as saturated pink, chartreuse, “Very Peri” (Pantone’s color of the year 2022, so I suppose I guessed right!). I wanted to incorporate luxury fashion as much as I could using colors and clothing trends (as much as one can on cats lol) such as vests, oversized coats & bucket hats.
CreativeOwl: Where do you see your project a year from now?
Killer Cat Bengal Club: That question brings me joy. I see a world-wide community that is inclusive and diverse meeting in it’s brand new community metaverse space in Spatial. I love that Spatial is free for all to use, again offering inclusivity into the Metaverse. I want this space to be a place where people can meet and exchange ideas, be social, share their art, their passions (which are likely to be heavily based on animals!), their stories and get to explore all that the metaverse can offer, together. It will be designed for the community, for whatever purpose they choose and will continue to evolve to satisfy the desires of the community. There is so much that can take place in the metaverse and it offers inclusivity to so many people including people that have limited avenues to be social, like disabled (or differently-abled) people and I like that a lot (especially since I do have a rare connective tissue disease, that while at times it can appear that nothing is wrong, other times it can limit me physically). I think it is great that the metaverse community will be a place you can always go and meet up with your friends, no matter what. In a year, I also see cars driving around with Killer Cat Bengal Club bumper stickers, people wearing their extremely fashionable line of clothing from the merch store. I want the quality, colors and styles to be in line with current fashion trends. In a year, I also see this community joining in the new NFT collection and all the excitement that brings. I have some ideas already about what that collection will be, but am not ready to divulge that info yet. I guess you will have to stay tuned to know more!
