Despite the sanitary and climate crises, live music has slowly come back to life. Small festivals and concert series are taking place almost every day in various parts of Italy, as well as in other countries.
Recently, with the whole family, we attended a concert of the legendary Finnish folk
at Alkantara World Music Festival
on Etna volcano. It took place on a tourism farm in front an international audience of folk music goers - many of them taking part in Sicily Ethno Camp
. This concert was full of energy. Check the replay here
We are looking forward to the concert of WOR
, the Belgian folk quintet that revives the music of the 80s
(1780s), in northern Italy on August 17 in the framework of World Vibes
, a new concert series for world and folk music.
We got the news that NADJIWAN
concert at Ontario Place Summer Live Music Festival
was well received. We’ll make all possible efforts to introduce this unique indigenous artist
to Europe in the coming years. There is a whole piece of cultural history with this artist who is of Findian
Then this w-e, Northern Resonance
, the new Scandinavian string trio
who will showcase
this year at Womex in Porto, will perform at Musik i Kallmyr
in Sweden. We are sure they will deliver a fantastic show.
Generally speaking, in these times of slow mood, we are happy to discover new artists with whom we might collaborate in the near future. Antonio Smiriglia from Sicily is one of them.
