The musical heroes of Italy aren’t that known outside of the green-white-red borders. But that ought to change.
With more than
twelve albums under his belt, more than
100 000 followers on FB and millions of views on YouTube,
Luca Bassanese is slowly emerging as one of the most interesting live performers of his genre, thanks to a style that echoes anything from
De André,
Fellini,
Manu Chao and
Goran Bregovic.
Luca is
socially engaged and knows how to
move the audience with his poetry,
transalpine tarantellas, electro-
Balkan exhalations and
many-coloured songs.
With his band,
La Piccola Orchestra Popolare, Luca has enjoyed a great popularity at some of
Europe’s major music festivals like
Paléo in Switzerland and Sziget
in Hungary. Over the years. he won various
honorary awards in Italy and worked alongside the Nobel Prize
Dario Fo, the Balkan Brass heroes
Kočani Orkestar, Berber singer
Bachir Charaf, Viareggio Carnival‘s
Theater Company - to name a few
.
Luca will be available in concert in Europe (Summer 2022) and Canada (Summer 2023).
