Hi,
Last week I spoke to you about
Musiconnect first Italian folk/world music showcase which took place in Pistoia, Italy. It was such a great event!
This week however I was invited to Catania (Sicily) to the last concert of the Nufolk (Global Connections) Orchestra. The concert was very fine, and lovely, with musical influences from Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, Spain, and Latvia. It was nice to spend some time with the whole project team and the artists, listen to their experience with the project, the challenges, and creative answers, and their wishes for the future.
Nu-folk Global Connections is a project that was supported by Creative Europe and had the objective to bring together in a
European Folk Orchestra twelve young music artists from
six various countries, allowing them to create an
original production and live show of
contemporary folk music and circulate it across Europe. The show is available to you if you want to offer your audience a journey through European trad folk music. I highly recommend it if you want to catch up with new and young audiences. A
live album is available, and soon more
live videos will be uploaded on the website.
While speaking about “
live album”, remember that in January
Tsuumi Sound System‘s new release will be out:
72 minutes of topmost contemporary Nordic folk and Finnish music recorded live over the last years in various festivals and venues across Europe.
Contact us for the latest information and concert availability of
our artists.
Talk to you soon.
