“People express and celebrate the rich diversity of cultural identities in Europe through folk and traditional music and associated performing arts” European Folk Network
Hello,
We had a great time last week in Budapest during the
European Folk Network Conference. Our hosts at the
Hungarian Heritage House were fantastic, and it was so nice to meet in-person friends and colleagues from all over Europe after so long time. All are fully or partly dedicated to the protection and promotion of
Europe’s folk and traditional music and associated performing arts in their various forms and origins.
I was personally amazed by the
great (and innovative
) work put forward within the framework of the
Polyphony and
MOST projects, which could be replicated in various parts of Europe.
If you’re not yet a member of EFN, I deeply encourage you to
join this very young pan-European network as an individual or organisation/company. It’s full of promises and a very exciting venture.
Hearing from you soon.
Eric
