Hello Readers
Twenty twenty-two is upon us and I hope you are ready for an exciting new year. I know the world is not perfect still, but that does not mean we can’t learn to move forward to bigger and brighter things. I know I am.
Check out the new resources and all the fantastic interviews we have coming up this month, plus don’t forget to check out and support the new musicals we play. We all can do this on our own, but why, when you have each other.

CPAD Networking - January Event
Meeting people at a networking event is a great opportunity to strengthen business connections, get fresh ideas, raise your profile and develop long-lasting personal relationships. You never know who the person you just met might know.
CPAD Networking (Creators of musicals, Producers & Artistic Directors) was created to give like minded people in the industry a chance to meet, share tips & tricks and experiences in order to foster a stronger musical theatre community around the world. It is an opportunity to bounce ideas off people who have already been in your position or are going through it right now.
We hold two sessions on the day (January 18th, 2022) of the event (9-11am ET and 5-7pm ET) in order for us to truly have global participation hosted in the Jill Edmund Virtual Theatre.

Musical Theatre Resources
Listed below are companies that might be great resources. Each one of these resources has been vetted by us and we have either met with the people who created the companies or know people who work for them. Companies are listed in alphabetical order. (Any new resources are listed first)
NEW Roland Tec Teaching - There is no paint-by-numbers career manual for you to follow. Whether you’re a writer, director, performer (or all of the above), the best way forward starts with the actual creation of your next new work. When you stretch beyond your comfort zone, exciting expansion soon follows both in the quality of your work and in how it’s received by the world. The biggest mistake you can make is thinking you can do this alone. Collaboration is the key to unlocking your hidden artistic potential. Here are the keys to unlock your potential.
NEW Latiné Musical Theatre Lab - The Lab’s central purpose is to bring together the Latiné musical theatre community for the success of its artists and the advancement of its stories and people. Community means helping and supporting one another, because a win for one is a win for all. Community means educating and mentoring new and up-and-coming writers - investing in the next generation. And community means creating a national and global identity as an organization, one in which our physical location in New York City serves as a home and hub, not another barrier to access.
NEW Theatre Resources Unlimited (TRU) - Is a nonprofit organization created to help producers produce, emerging theater companies to emerge healthily and all theater professionals to understand and best navigate the business of theater. Our membership roster includes self-producing artists as well as career producers. If you are a theater professional, take this opportunity to become a part of the leading professional development, mentorship and networking organization in the industry!
