Park District supervisor accused of ‘inappropriate relationship’ with underage lifeguard

Chicago Sun-Times Morning Edition
Good morning, Chicago —
Here’s the latest news from the area on a rainy Thursday morning.
The scandal at the Chicago Park District took another turn Wednesday when an adult male supervisor in the Beaches and Pools Division abruptly resigned after being accused of an “inappropriate relationship” with an underage female employee who once worked as a seasonal lifeguard.
Meanwhile, at the murder trial of former Northwestern professor Wyndham Lathem, Cook County prosecutors repeatedly questioned Lathem as to why he never sought help after he said he saw and heard his boyfriend being stabbed inside his River North condo.
And in some much brighter news, the Chicago Sky booked their trip to the WNBA Finals by taking down the Connecticut Sun at Wintrust Arena on Wednesday night. Candace Parker got emotional after the game thinking about what it took to reach this point, but she said the team’s mission is not done yet.
