Bears sign purchase agreement for Arlington Park land for stadium

Here’s the latest news in the city this morning.
The Bears took a major step toward a potential move to Arlington Heights by signing a purchase agreement for the 326-acre plot where Arlington International Racecourse has operated. Patrick Finley has more on the Bears’ big move and what it means.
In Jackson Park, former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama took part in the official groundbreaking of the Obama Presidential Center on Tuesday. “The [center] is our way of repaying some of what this amazing city has given us,” the former president said during his appearance.
And Dr. Allison Arwady, the city’s top doctor, said her staff found no breaks in protocol after a Chicago mother died from COVID-19 while her daughter was quarantining after exposure to the virus at a CPS elementary school.
