In ML news, the 2019 NeurIPS (previously NIPS) conference is wrapping up. You can find talk recordings and slides on Facebook here. As always, Joelle Pineau (of McGill and Facebook AI Research) gave a great talk on reproducible, reusable, and robust reinforcement learning (see her ‘Reproducibility Checklist’). Her talk reminded me of a recent post from Thomas Huijskens titled ’Data scientists, the only useful code is production code’.
