Winter is coming! In NYC at least…
Hopefully, your job search is heating up before the holidays hit. For some tangible tips on how to improve your candidacy for machine learning-related roles, read this post on ’The Economics of Getting Hired as a Data Scientist
’ from Jeremie Harris. My favorite quote — “If you want above-average outcomes, you can’t do average things”.
To build on Jeremie’s post, I do want to share one critical piece of advice: make sure you explicitly note the models, datasets, and engineering tools you worked with on your resume. This will help hiring managers and interviewers get a better sense of your technical/practical experience and how those skills fit into their team’s needs.
To ring in the new season, Comet has also released exciting new features such as full Jupyter support
, combined project views with visualizations, queries, and more. If you or your ML team are struggling to track past and previous model results, I highly recommend giving Comet a try with the Quickstart Guide
