I watched The Circle on iTunes last Friday night, and while it’s not expected to pull any Best Picture nominations, it does (shallowly) explore the effects of removing personal privacy in the name of transparency and social networking. The results are dreadful.
The reads below build on last week’s issue about Facebook and the role that advertising plays in their business and in our lives. Privacy seems more and more like either a luxury for the few, or something that people just don’t care enough about.
