Fortunately in Rueil-Malmaison, France, we have sunshine to keep smiling…and to keep some sanity.
Changes in life, in pace, in focus….it’s tough.
People have lots of questions, yearning for answers.
Watching how this lockdown impacts my work, I’m trying to figure out where my skillset can be applied to good use.
So what’s the best way to go about this?
To listen, listen, and listen.
I’ve been trying to listen to where people’s minds are and just process it.
Their concerns, their wonders.
From parents to a café owner, an importer, a travel writer, schools, and educators….just listening to what’s going on so that maybe I can pinpoint something to contribute to the community.
Somehow we got to the point where we lost the sense of privilege in being part of a community and turned it into a job.

For creatives, this moment in time is funny. On one side, uncertainty is scary. On the other side, uncertainty is exciting because it presents news experiences.
Just listening and just trying to start conversations with people…super feeling of connectedness. We can’t forget that it’s a privilege to have someone’s trust to speak to you…raw and real.
