Intro
You read the title - it’s true! We just launched on Armor Games last Monday. To everyone who has signed up from there, thank you for joining us! We’re really excited to show you what we’ve been up to, and keep you posted about future developments. To everyone who’s stayed since the beginning - we see you too! A BIG part of the way we were able to get on Armor Games in the first place was showing them how successful our demo on Itch was, and now we’ve been able to reach even more folks.
Personally
I’m 21, so I grew up playing flash games on sites like Armor Games. Maybe sometimes during school… when I was supposed to be doing other things. The point is - it’s really freaking cool that we’re on there! I can also sympathize with the folks on the site who weren’t as enthusiastic about our game. They’re used to a certain kind of flashy, action-y game experience. They’re also used to a level of polish and quality that our demo just doesn’t have yet. That brings me to my next point.
The Response
The response on Armor Games has been a bit lackluster. In terms of ratings I think we’re currently sitting around 40%. Again, I totally get it. Most of the comments have been well-meaning as well, although some have bordered on a little edgelord-y. That’s the internet for you.
Anyways, if you want to do something nice for us, you can go show us some love on the AG page, either by rating or leaving a nice comment. We’ll be fine either way, but the better the rating, the more likely we’ll see more plays on the site in the future. Link below :)
Outro
Thanks for reading all the way through! I know this is a bit of a different kind of email for us but it was what I wanted to talk about this week. Next week will be our 6th and final introduction, to Sam, our second writer!
Stay Spooky,
-Ezra
