✓ A Message To Nigerian Public University Students
Hey! How are you today?

My letter today is specifically for us Nigerian students in public universities, who are affected by the ongoing industrial strike action embarked on by university lecturers.
The strike action has had significant impacts on the mental well-being of many, and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. The recurrent meetings between the union and the government keep ending in vain. The education of ‘the leaders of tomorrow’ is at stake, but we can’t influence the situation.
I’m saying all these to show that I recognise all your feelings about it. They are all valid. However, if they become overwhelmingly unbearable, please take a break. Take a break from everything that makes the situation hurt more. Don’t worry about updates about their meetings. Identify the activities that give you joy and focus on them now.
I know doing these is not a definitive solution, but I hope it helps protect and preserve our mental health.
We’ll be fine. I hope and pray so.
