How To Maximise The ‘Status’ Section of WhatsApp for Learning and Mental Health

The ‘status’ section on WhatsApp can be for learning and relaxation. But unfortunately, it gets congested, especially if you have many people on your contacts list. The implication is that many times, you probably have to scroll through this pool of updates, wasting time and data in the process.
However, if you wish to utilise this section of WhatsApp for learning, I have a simple technique I’ve been testing for a while. So far, my experience with it has been beautiful.
Here it is…
Mute all your contacts’ status updates, except those from the following sets of people:
✓ People who discuss topics that interest you (Business, Tech, Writing, Education, Religion, etc.)
✓ Your close friends and relatives whose status updates you’re interested in viewing.
✓ Few other people of your interest, who do not fall under any of the aforementioned categories.
The goal of this technique is to help you filter out those updates that do not align with your interests. This way, you’d be able to view the ones that contribute to your growth and positively impact your mental health. At various points, you can make adjustments to the list of muted/unmuted statuses.
What do you think about the technique? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
