I’m sure we’ve all heard the talk about humans being born selfish, being innately selfish and how everyone is just looking out for themselves in every situation.
While part of this is true, I want to believe we have all encountered someone who helped someone else without expecting anything in return, right? So that makes me wonder, all this talk of humans being selfish, is it an innate thing? Were we born with it? Or do we learn it and therefore have to unlearn it?
I honestly don’t know for sure what it is, this is probably one research that might never be concluded. However, beyond all that, whatever the case may be, I want to charge you to go out of your way to do something nice for someone else without expecting anything in return.
It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture, it could be the simplest or smallest thing, just do it for someone and don’t expect to get anything from it, except maybe the amazing feeling that comes with it. Don’t just stop at doing it once, do it as often as you can.
