McLean's Pub - Issue #1 - St-Patrick's Festivities!

McLean's Pub - What's The Craic?
It’s been a few years, but we still know how to throw a party!

Can you believe that we haven’t spent St-Patrick’s Day together since 2019? We’ve been celebrating Paddy’s Day since we first opened McLean’s Pub 30 years ago. After everyone being cooped up for the past 24 months, we expect this St-Patrick’s Weekend to be one for the history books! We miss you all and hope to see you at some point during the festivities.
There is a lot going on in and around Montreal. We want to give you a taste of what we’re doing here at the pub.
On St-Patrick’s Day (March 17th if you don’t know by now) we will have our famous Lamb Stew on the menu for you to enjoy. There is no finer pairing than a gorgeous pint of Guinness to accompany it. We always have our freshly beer battered Fish ‘n Chips that happens to go perfectly with the beer we use in the batter, Alexander Keith’s IPA. My personal favourite is a tall Jameson Ginger and Lime with our Butter Chicken. Trust me, when Ireland meets India, I’m a happy man!
At 5:00pm, our good friend, Mark Baker from Carlow, Ireland, will tune his guitar and play traditional Folk and Irish Ballads for your listening pleasure. Between sets, we will start giving out gifts provided by Alexander Keith’s and Jameson.
5:00pm Friday!
5:00pm Friday!
Mark will be back with us Friday for more live music and he will be joined with the good people at Jameson for their Widen The Circle Party. It doesn’t matter if you are Irish or not, at McLean’s we are all about family and fun. Jameson will be here with games and prizes all night long. They have some incredible gifts for you to win. The whiskey will be flowing and believe me, many friends will be made!

Guinness 6 Nations Week 5 starting at 10:15am and running through the entire day.
Saturday we kick off a full day of sports. Ireland hosts Scotland in the final week of the Guinness 6 Nations. We will also be showing the first match of the day between Wales and Italy at 10:15am, as well as the last game of the season between England and France at 4:00pm. Once Rugby is finished, the Montreal Canadiens play host to the Ottawa Senators at 7:00pm. Win, lose or die, we hold our heads up high for the Habs at McLean’s.

St-Patrick’s Parade Day! Since 1824 the parade has been celebrated uninterrupted by plagues, wars, and other conflicts but in 2020 COVID-19 turned into a global pandemic and shut down the world. After two years with no celebrations, this year is sure to bring out a lot of our friends and family. We will open for breakfast at 8:00am, to fill you up for the parade. At 12:00pm we will have (as we have done since 1992) the Riley Band. Their Celtic, Maritime and Classic Rock catalogue will get you tapping your feet and slapping your knees. If you haven’t seen them, you are missing out.

Don’t miss out this year. St-Patrick’s is the perfect occasion we need to join together and reunite. If not here, do it where ever you might be. Whether you are at a pub, at home, video conferencing or even over the phone - Share the Love, Widen the Circle, Smile and be Happy!!!
Have a wonderful St-Patrick’s Day!
