Mayo Public Participation Network (PPN) continues it’s series of information evenings for community groups this May. Remaining meetings are listed below and are open to all community groups. The Municipal District, in which your group operates, in is the correct meeting for your group to attend.

Social farming event - Save the date
Tuesday 29th May in the Clayton Hotel Galway from 10 am-1pm . The event will hear insights and learning on social farming from service providers, participants and farmers who are already engaged in social farming across Galway, Mayo & Roscommon. It will also disseminate the results of research on social farming that was undertake in 2017 across Ireland. Please save the date. Full details to follow

The Road Safety Authority runs a nationwide Road Safety Education service and have a series of comprehensive, effective presentations that can be tailored to suit your group.

Breast Cancer Ireland complimentary breast education and awareness programme
Breast Cancer Ireland launched their complimentary breast education and awareness programme for women to better educate women about good breast health - how to perform a breast self-examination and signs and symptoms to look for….aiming to reduce the fear factor of a breast cancer diagnosis. As part of the programme, they offer the opportunity of a visit of thier Outreach Coordinator to your group, to explain a little more about Breast Cancer Ireland and the advances being made in cancebreast cancer research. In addition, the coordinator will demonstrate how best to perform a breast self-examination and will share her own personal experience of having had a breast cancer diagnosis. Review of Mayo County Development Plan 2014 - 2020 & preparation of a new Plan for the period 2020 - 2026 - pre-draft consultation
Mayo County Council has commenced the review of the current Mayo County Development Plan 2014 - 2020 and the preparation of a new Development Plan for the period 2020- 2026. Mayo County Council wishes to engage with as many individuals, groups and organisations as possible in this process and in shaping the new Plan for the county. Final date for submissions 5pm 14 June 2018
