Last week’s posts took a look at mobile affordability and once again calling for an examination of how the national public alert system is being deployed and used, to ensure that it will always be used in the best possible manner.
Looking at some Statistics Canada data, I was surprised to see there is relatively little variation between various income quintiles in cell service spending, measured as a percentage of total household after tax expenditures.
In this post, once again I ask if the CRTC and Canada’s Department of Public Safety should be reviewing how the National Public Alert System is being deployed, to ensure that it will always be used in the best possible manner. The post was especially timely, given the NS Mass Casualty Commission public hearings.
