Both of my blog posts last week looked at legislative changes that can impact deployment and use of digital infrastructure.
In one case, there is a call for Ottawa to consolidate authority over telecom service provider access to ‘passive infrastructure.’ In the other piece, there is a look at how the UK is reviewing legislative reforms over online content.

Are there policy and legislative changes that can help accelerate investment in next generation broadband networks? Yes, according to a new report released last week by the CD Howe Institute.
Governments are investing billions to accelerate investment in broadband in underserved areas. Some impediments to investment can be fixed with legislative updates, not cash.
