Grab a Coffee ☕️
How do you prefer to learn? Do you like to read a book and mark the most important sections, watch YouTube videos or do you prefer to listen to someone who knows what they are talking about and take notes?
Each of us learns differently and fortunately there are various ways to keep up to date and learn new things nowadays. But if for you, the spoken word is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in a topic, podcasts are just perfect for you.
Product design is no exception, and there’s a huge selection of podcasts where you can really get a lot out of being a designer.
But what about the cats? 🐱 For this, you have to scroll to the end of this newsletter.

🧐 What are podcasts?
Podcasts are audio shows ranging from a few minutes in length to several hours. The duration depends entirely on the format and is usually very constant within a show.
In podcasts, the host explains a topic alone, or has one or two other fixed conversational partners. Guests are often invited to podcasts, which is then a kind of interview.
🤓 Reasons for hearing podcasts
There are many reasons why listening to podcasts makes sense. For me, the most important reasons for listening to podcasts are:
  • Many experienced people share their knowledge via podcasts and I can get interesting knowledge easily and cheaply.
  • I can listen to podcasts anywhere, while driving, walking, gardening or at home having a good cup of coffee ☕️ on the couch.
  • Short formats of 20-50 minutes fit well into my daily routine and therefore I can listen to a whole episode from beginning to end without interruption.
Why do you listen to podcasts?
