Hey Listies,
If the pandemic is making you feel creatively fatigued, you’re not alone.
It’s easy to fall into bad habits that perpetuate a state of negativity.
But… what if I told you that you can recharge for your day job by setting time aside to explore ideas and things that you enjoy?
I do this with weekly artist dates.
I start with a list of ways to take a break from work and explore a creative curiosity. Then, I set an appointment with myself at the same time every week to have some fun.
The concept comes from the book “The Artist’s Way”. I’ve been participating in an accountability group around it with other creatives for the past 11 weeks, which is why this subject is top-of-mind.
In my latest article for The Blogsmith, I share 46 artist date ideas to inspire play.
These ideas are categorized in terms of:
  • Tours & adventures
  • Just-for-fun activities
  • Lockdown/at-home artist date ideas
  • Out-of-the-ordinary artist date ideas
All of these recommendations are based on my past artist dates and future plans.
If you read the article and it inspires some ideas of your own, I’d love to hear them! Just hit reply.
Until next time,
Maddy Osman, The Blogsmith
