Some housekeeping this week.
Who’s Who In Australian Cricket (Imaginary Players Edition, A-E)
Firstly, we have our first graduate from the Monday First Drafts School of Nonsense (est. 2021). The Fictional Cricketers biographies that I did
here and
here have now been polished into something of higher quality.
More importantly, they’ve been joined by eight sparkling brand new fictional cricketers and published as an Amazon Kindle book - Who’s Who In Australian Cricket (Imaginary Players Edition, A-E).
And even more importantly than
that, that Kindle book is (assuming I know what I’m doing with the Kindle marketing tools) currently FREE! No $0.99 payment for you, dear reader. Just go to
https://amazon.com/author/danliebke, and download. And it’s all yours. (Don’t have a Kindle? Read it online via
https://read.amazon.com/kindle-library.) But don’t muck about. It’s only going to be free for 24 hours (again, assuming my marketing tools prowess is at a level where I understand these things) and some of those hours will have disappeared already because of, I dunno, time zones or daylight saving or climate change or something.
Will there be a Who’s Who In Australian Cricket (Imaginary Players Edition, F-Z)? Honestly, that’s up to you. If enough people download/purchase/express sufficient interest in this version, the plan is to add four more, working my way steadily through the alphabet. And if I reach Z? Then maybe there will even be a printed version of the book for you disgusting sickos who still hunger for the erotic caress of paper.
Moving Day
But it’s not just Graduation Day. It’s also Moving Day.
Cat and I have resumed our
Can’t Bowl, Can’t Throw Podcast and we’ve scheduled that in as a Monday recording. And that leaves much less time for me to do this kind of creative writing on Mondays. So, based solely on alliterative potential, this newsletter will soon be switching name/day to Friday First Drafts. It’ll resume on Friday, 10th September.
There may be some other changes in format too. But I’ll tell you more about them Friday week.
