October at LCF
October saw our 6th Annual Conference on the Future of the Commercial Contract in Scholarship and Law Reform. This was the second of these events in the series held live online via Zoom. We had the pleasure and honour again to welcome a number of eminent and inspiring speakers on topics concerning ‘building back better’ after the pandemic as well as in support of environmental progress. Our long-time arbitration panel chair Hendrik Puschmann of Farrer & Co in London commended this event as
“the longest running most innovative conference that brings together practitioners and theoreticians in the commercial law sphere in the wider sense and has been a fountain of cross-fertilisation between the two.”
Joining us from pretty much all global time zones we had Professor David Freestone as main keynote speaker starting the special panel on energy trading issues, David Calnan as panel keynote speaker for the contractual sustainability panel, Professor Gerard McMeel QC as a fantastic roundtable discussant of Marc Moore’s paper on unfair terms regulation. Purchasing our recording of the event is highly recommended!

Delegates can book the last event in this series either individually or as a package including recordings of all four previous sessions. Our keynote speaker will be Prof. Roger Brownsword.
