👩🏻‍💻 I am Laura Bokobza. You’re receiving this email because you signed up to How and Why, a weekly curation newsletter. Thank you ! If you enjoy this newsletter, please forward it to someone who might enjoy it as well. And if this email was forwarded to you, get your own !

Hello !
📆 I told you there wouldn’t be an edition this week, the next one comes out on April 11th, 2022.
🤩 Today’s a special edition, just so you don’t lose the momentum.
😎 And don’t forget, you still get some curation on my Twitter feed.
🐦 Last week on Twitter : Creator Economy start-ups don’t raise as much funds as before, the importance of Whole Foods in Amazon‘s retail strategy, a Wiki on Big Tech bad deeds, progress of FemTech, what you can learn from Wordle in B2B marketing, the future scandal on Microsoft, questions about Web3, the (real) cost of free delivery.
🧐 TL;DR
  • Useful sources and ressources
  • The full list of tools featured in the beehive
Sources and ressources
People often ask me where I get the inspiration for my curation. The truth is that I subscribe to (many) newsletters, and that I read them at least once…
So that it doesn’t pollute my day, I use StoopInbox - either as a subscription address, or as an automatic forwarding address from my regular email (when I have a paid subscription for example).
When I find an interesting article, I store it on Notion in a dedicated database that I’ve organized into a moodboard based on this video by Théo Roland, 🇫🇷 so that I can immediately tag the section I’m considering.
As for the newsletters that feed me, either directly with articles or with more diffuse inspiration, I have selected a few that deserve more than the space I sometimes give them here. If the link allows me to win something, a sticker or a mug usually, I’ll mention it 😜
  • First and foremost Flint, of course (disclaimer: I’m on the Board).
  • Louis Grenier‘s excellent newsletter on the best practices of real marketing.
  • The newsletter that anticipates trends, Magma (with this link, 😜 you get a 50€ discount on the annual subscription after your 14-day trial - not sure how you’ll get to the english version, but it does exist, so look for it).
  • One marketing idea - and only one - per newsletter, in Swipe Files 😜
  • The story of the first 1000 clients of your favorite brands, in First1000. 😜 And plenty of great ideas.
  • The newsletter that was purchased by Hubspot, The Hustle 😜
Lastly, I’m also regularly inspired here, on my social networks, and for my clients by courses and other resources - for a fee - that are well worth the price.
The links are affiliate, but I’m only offering you the ones I actually use!
  • Peter Boyle’s Marketing Bundle. His free newsletter is already great, but the bundle that gives you access to all his templates, from email sequences to landing pages, is really useful.
  • If you have a LinkedIn profile, you’ve probably heard of Justin Welsh… Justin has created two video courses. He started with the specific one on LinkedIn, LinkedIn OS, and then developed a more generic one on content, Content OS. You’ll even be able to grab some Notion templates to get organized.
  • To write and program my Twitter threads, I was already using Hypefury (created by French folks) before I knew it was Justin Welsh’s favorite programming tool.
So there you have it, you know all my secrets of inspiration and resources that I haven’t shared yet! If you have any tools to recommend or feedback to give, just reply to this email, I read and reply to everyone! #conversation

Who am I ?
Sparring partner, CEO shadow, part-time COO or CMO… What I do has been called many names, but I have one goal : to help you accelerate your business !
Want more ? You can follow me on Twitter or LinkedIn, or subscribe to this newsletter if someone forwarded it to you.
For a meet and greet, or if you’d like to brief me on a working opportunity (consulting or MC'ing events), or even book a 1h sparring partner consult, my availabilities are up-to-date. Oh, and I’m a Board member.
If you’d like to thank me for this issue, you could forward this newsletter to your friends and colleagues, or even buy me a coffee.
Why "How and Why" ?
Keeping abreast of everything that is published today is exhausting. There is too much to read, and as we’re too scared to not read (FOMO, anyone ?), we spend a lot of our waking - and sometimes not working - hours trying to stay afloat.
As I do it anyway (both out of need for my clients and out of sheer curiosity for, well, everything), why not share with you what I’ve thought useful ? On top of my posts on Twitter and LinkedIn, I’ll share with you every week what has inspired me, surprised me, what I found insightful, or sometimes just funny.
1 email a weekevery Monday at 7am (CET), to make sense of the marketing, tech, and innovation news from the prior week, just before going into the next one.
Curator is the new creator. I didn’t come up with that, Marie did, and I have utter faith in her trendspotting.
Want the French version ? Right here.

Used to be 1 email a week, every Monday at 7:30am (CET), to make sense of the marketing, tech, and innovation news from the prior week, just before going into the next one.

Now my weekly curation newsletter on #tech #marketing #innovation #business #socialmedia #marketing #CX #comms and more, by a curious and eclectic mind is only in French
